Hi, I’m Patrick!

The workshop has felt like home to me for as long as I can remember. Having a brilliant carpenter for a dad meant I spent an endless amount of time in the woodshop as a kid, covered in sawdust and learning the tricks of the trade. After attending college in Hawai’i and Australia, I ended up as a gaffer and technician in the film industry. In 2019, about a decade into this field, I found myself wanting something new. What I was craving, as it turned out, was something very familiar. I couldn’t stop creating things: items for work, for home, for myself, and for family and friends. The days when I could pull out my measuring tape and power tools were always the ones I enjoyed most. This is why I made the decision to leap out of film and back into building full-time. I chose to use my roots in carpentry to create CARBONTREE Custom.
